Honest Assessment

So, one day my computer worked just fine and the next day it didn't. Originally, I went to John because he was the only place still open. Lucky chance.

John had my laptop in his possession all of 10 minutes and diagnosed the problem. He was patient in explaining what was wrong and why. And also telling me that he could maybe fix it but it would cost me a bundle and there's no guarantee that it would work.

Instead of repairing a lost cause, he told me to buy another computer. He told me what to look for, what to make sure the replacement had installed, and where to go to find it. Further, if I could find one used but without the hard drive, just bring it to him and he would install what I needed. John was involved in another project when I dropped in. He stopped what he was doing and took time to look at my computer. And for all of that, he charged me Nothing. I will be returning when I get my replacement.

I called John about problems I was having with my laptop and he was able to take it look at it the next day. The diagnosis was that it was time to get a new one the hard drive was not responding correctly. It was at least 7 years old. No Charge for Diagnostics

John is amazing! My computer was a lemon (luckily still under warranty). John worked on it for a week and never charged me for diagnostics. I offered to pay him, and he refused!

It's going back to the manufacturer and they can deal with it, fix it or replace it. Anyway, I bought a new one, and paid him to set it up. He kept the old one until I had all of my data transferred to my new computer. If you want a company that actually cares about it's customer, this is the one!

What I will say is due to complications he ended up doing a massive amount more labor than expected but did not charge me for the overage.
